AR would allow for teachers to disseminate information in a way that saves paper - assuming students have access to mobile devices. A teacher could print out a single sheet of paper with various AR-enabled icons for students to scan, screenshot, and work with, as opposed to printing out multiple sheets of paper. AR could also work as a study tool for students who struggle taking notes in class. AR could be used for a “scavenger hunt” around the room in which students view images, maps, and other graphics. While AR can be clunky or gimmicky for many, an AR-enabled classroom could add an element of fun that would make learning more exciting, and encourage digital literacy.
